Panasonic Lumix DMC FX40 Review

The Panasonic Lumix DMC FX40 is against some very strong competition when it comes to pocket-size digital cameras. To try to make the Panasonic Lumix DMC FX40 stand out from the mass of an ultra-wide angle lens has taken. A wide-angle lens will help you squeeze more of a scene in a broader picture. This could be a great attraction for you, if you want to take a lot of landscapes or large groups of people.

Like other cameras in this series can be increasedthe amount of zoom available when you are ready to shoot at lower resolutions. This will save space on your memory card and ensure the quality of images taken.

One of the main attractions along the ultra-wide angle zoom lens can be the high-definition movie mode. Although I would not say that this completely replace a camcorder, you can zoom in and zoom out during filming to begin, this can be useful if the fire by the lackoccasional video clips without carrying around with the camera.

With dimensions of 95.3 x 52.9 x 21.5 mm, the Lumix DMC FX40 fits in most pockets without a problem. Panasonic has black, silver and red versions have been created. In terms of design, I describe it as just a simple camera. It has a smooth and opaque. This helps the camera a quality feel. It weighs 128 g without battery and memory card. This makes him one of the lightest digitalCameras.

I found this camera easy to use. How complicated it is for you depends largely on how many of the features that you plan to use it. The menu is three and a half pages, with an additional set-up menu. Elements such as resolution, focus mode, white balance can be changed via the menu system. So you might not feel the need to deepen the menu too often. If you do, you should find a simple task, the setting you want to findeven if you need to change a roll through a few screens first.

On the back of the FX40 Lumix DMC in the upper right is a control dial. You can use this to change the recording mode. For example, you can use the line of the camera in macro mode. The camera also features an iA mode. This is an acronym for Smart Car. In this mode, the camera to the popular image as a landscape to control and adjust the controls accordingly to make the best image possible. ThisMode is recommended for a trial, but was most situations, I have not noticed significant differences in image quality between this mode and general mode automatically.

The Lumix DMC FX40 is certainly bright, colorful pictures, but I just have a little 'with the sharpness of the more distant shots I have to admit disappointment. This softness is increasingly evident as one moves away from the center of the recording. I noticed this with the previous model of this series as well. Thisis not up to usual high standards set by Panasonic. It can not be a problem with snapshot-size prints, but it is evident with the font size larger.

There are 40 megabytes of space on the Panasonic Lumix DMC FX40 built. That sounds like a reasonable amount, but if you look at the full resolution of 12 megapixels to shoot only offers enough space for about 8 photos.
